We here at Fay’s Boat Yard hope your season is off to a great start. We wanted to take a quick moment
to advise you of a new regulation regarding fire extinguishers posted by the United States Coast Guard.
The new regulation went into effect on April 20, 2022. You can view the original flyer (HERE) put out by the USCG about how to check your fire extinguisher and you can find more detailed information on the USG website.
Please take time to check your fire extinguisher in your boat and if yours is affected please stop in to the
store and get a new one. Your safe summer depends on it. We also wanted to let everyone know that
during the haul out season we will try and check for fire extinguishers that need updating as well. If we
find a fire extinguisher that is out of date, we will replace it as part of haul out. Please take time to read
the flyer and look at the website. If you still have questions, please feel free to ask someone in the store
at the Boatyard.
