Grafton Pond July 10, 2018

Grafton Pond is by far one of my favorite spots for stand up paddling or kayaking. This beautiful body of water is located in, you guessed it Grafton NH. Its 319 acres and 1.5 miles long and .7 miles wide. Majority of the shore line is protected by the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests. Not many homes to see, but lots of nature. If you’re up for some exploring, swimming, fishing and site seeing then schedule a day trip to Grafton Pond.

This little pond has at least 29 small islands to explore, inlets and deep coves. You will find some lovely spots to take a break and soak in all the natural wonders around you. You never know what you may see. There is a good chance you will see loons, turtles, fish and more. I’ve even seen a bear taking a dip. Don’t forget to bring your lunch, sunscreen, PFD, camera and/or binoculars.
